# Export and Import Blocked Numbers

Cloud Voice lets you download your blocked numbers as a CSV (comma-separated values) file and upload them again later. Exporting gives you an editable copy you can treat as a working template, and importing is the fastest way to add many blocked numbers at once instead of entering them one by one.

## Export blocked numbers

Download every blocked number to a CSV file, then add, remove, or update entries directly in the file.

1. Sign in to the PBX (Private Branch Exchange) web portal and open **Call Features > Blocked/Allowed Numbers > Blocked Numbers**.
2. Select **Export**.

The CSV file downloads to your computer. For an explanation of each column and the values it accepts, see [Blocked Numbers Parameters](/pbx/administrator-guide/import-and-export-parameters-blocked-numbers/).

:::note
Exporting only downloads a copy of the current list. It does not change or delete any numbers already blocked on the PBX, so it is safe to run at any time.
:::

## Import blocked numbers

:::tip
Export your existing blocked numbers first and edit that file. Starting from a valid export saves you formatting the CSV by hand and keeps the column layout correct.
:::

### Before you begin

Your file must meet these requirements:

- **Format**: UTF-8 encoded `.csv`
- **Size**: under 50 MB
- **File name**: fewer than 127 characters
- **Contents**: every value must satisfy the field rules described in [Blocked Numbers Parameters](/pbx/administrator-guide/import-and-export-parameters-blocked-numbers/)

:::caution
If the file breaks any of these rules (wrong encoding, 50 MB or larger, a name of 127 characters or more, or values that fail the field rules), the import is rejected and no numbers are added. When you edit the file in a spreadsheet app, be sure to save it back as UTF-8 CSV, because some apps re-encode the file on save and break the import.
:::

### Steps

1. Sign in to the PBX web portal and open **Call Features > Blocked/Allowed Numbers > Blocked Numbers**.
2. Select **Import**.
3. In the dialog that opens, select **Browse** and choose the UTF-8 `.csv` file you prepared.
4. Select **Import**.

The numbers from your file appear in the **Blocked Numbers** list.
