# Export and Import Speed Dial Numbers

Cloud Voice lets you move speed dial numbers in and out of the system as a CSV file (comma-separated values, a plain-text table you can open in any spreadsheet program). Exporting gives you a snapshot you can archive or edit offline, while importing loads a batch of entries at once instead of adding them one at a time. This page covers both directions.

## Export speed dial numbers

Exporting writes every configured speed dial entry to a single CSV file. Once you have that file, you can add, remove, or change entries and keep it as a working copy.

1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice management portal and open **Call Features > Speed Dial**.
2. Click **Export**.

   Cloud Voice downloads a CSV file to your computer. For a breakdown of each column and the values it accepts, see [Speed Dial Number Parameters](/pbx/administrator-guide/import-and-export-parameters-speed-dial-numbers/).

## Import speed dial numbers

:::tip
Export your existing speed dial numbers first and use that file as a starting template. The column layout is already correct, so you only need to fill in your entries.
:::

Before you import, make sure your file meets these requirements:

- **Format**: UTF-8 encoded `.CSV`
- **Size**: Under 50 MB
- **File name**: Fewer than 127 characters
- **Values**: Every field must be valid. See [Speed Dial Number Parameters](/pbx/administrator-guide/import-and-export-parameters-speed-dial-numbers/) for the accepted values.

:::caution
If the file is over 50 MB, the file name is 127 characters or longer, or any field holds a value the system does not accept, the import fails. Confirm all four requirements before you upload.
:::

To import:

1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice management portal and open **Call Features > Speed Dial**.
2. Click **Import**.
3. In the window that opens, click **Browse** and choose your CSV file.
4. Click **Import**.

   The entries from your file appear in the **Speed Dial** list.
