# Manage Emergency Notification Contacts

Once you have set up emergency notification contacts, you can revisit them at any time to adjust who gets alerted and how, or to remove entries that are no longer needed. Both tasks are handled from the same list in the Cloud Voice management portal.

:::note
An emergency notification contact is a person the system alerts whenever someone on your account dials a configured emergency number (for example, 911). Keeping this list current makes sure the right people are informed the moment an emergency call is placed. Every contact lives in one list under **Call Control > Emergency Number > Notification Contact**.
:::

## Edit a contact

1. Sign in to the management portal and open **Call Control > Emergency Number > Notification Contact**.
2. Find the contact you want to change and click the edit icon ![Edit](/images/pbx/edit.png) in its row.
3. Update the contact details or the notification method as needed.
4. Click **Save**.

:::note
The notification method controls how a contact is alerted when an emergency number is dialed. Change it here if that person should be reached a different way.
:::

:::tip
When a contact's phone number, email, or role changes, edit the existing entry instead of deleting it and adding a new one. Editing keeps the emergency alert chain intact, so no one is accidentally dropped from notifications.
:::

## Delete a single contact

1. Sign in to the management portal and open **Call Control > Emergency Number > Notification Contact**.
2. Click the delete icon ![Delete](/images/pbx/delete.png) next to the contact you want to remove.
3. Confirm by clicking **OK** in the dialog that appears.

:::danger
Deleting a contact removes them from your emergency alert list. The system will no longer notify that person when a user dials an emergency number, which weakens your emergency response coverage. The change takes effect immediately and cannot be undone: to bring a contact back you must add it again from scratch. Confirm at least one active contact remains after any deletion.
:::

## Delete contacts in bulk

1. Sign in to the management portal and open **Call Control > Emergency Number > Notification Contact**.
2. Select the checkbox for each contact you want to remove, then click **Delete**.
3. Confirm by clicking **OK** in the dialog that appears.

:::caution
Bulk deletion removes every selected contact at once and asks for a single confirmation, not one prompt per contact. Double-check the checkboxes before you click **Delete** so you do not remove someone you meant to keep.
