# Manage MoH Audio Files

A local audio Music on Hold (MoH) playlist holds the tracks Cloud Voice plays to callers who are waiting on hold. Once a playlist exists, you can change its contents at any time: add new audio, listen to what is already there, keep a local copy, or clear out tracks you no longer want. This is how you swap in seasonal music, replace a track with better quality audio, or remove a file a caller complained about.

:::note
This topic covers a *local audio* playlist, meaning tracks stored on the PBX itself. The steps below only apply to that playlist type.
:::

## Open a playlist's audio files

1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice management portal.
2. Go to **PBX Settings > Voice Prompt > Music on Hold**.
3. Find the local audio MoH playlist you want to edit, and in its **Operations** column, click the files icon ![Manage files](/images/pbx/MoH%20Files.png).

A window opens listing the tracks in that playlist.

## Work with the tracks

In the pop-up window, use the actions below as needed:

- **Add a track**: Click **Upload** and choose the audio file you want to add to the playlist.
- **Preview a track**: Click the play icon ![Play](/images/pbx/play.png), then choose whether to hear it through an extension or directly in your browser.
- **Save a copy**: Click the download icon ![Download](/images/pbx/download.png) to store the file on your computer.
- **Remove a track**: Click the delete icon ![Delete](/images/pbx/delete.png).

:::note
When you preview a track, playing it **to an extension** sends the audio to a phone registered to that extension, which is the truest test of what callers actually hear. Playing it **on web** uses your computer's speakers and is quicker for a rough check.
:::

:::caution
Deleting a track removes that audio file from the playlist. If you delete the only track in a playlist, callers placed on hold will hear silence. To bring a deleted track back, you have to upload the original file again, so keep a copy first if you might need it.
:::

## Save your changes

1. Click **OK** to close the window.
2. Click **Apply** so the updated playlist takes effect.

:::caution
Your edits are not live until you click **Apply**. If you close the portal after clicking only **OK**, callers will still hear the old playlist.
