# Manage Ring Groups

A ring group is a set of extensions that a single call rings together, so more than one person can pick up an incoming call. Once a ring group exists, you can adjust who it rings and how, or remove it entirely. This page covers editing an existing ring group and deleting one or more of them.

:::note
All ring group management happens under **Call Features > Ring Group** in the Cloud Voice management portal. Each row in that list is one ring group.
:::

## Edit a ring group

Editing lets you change any part of a group's configuration. Common reasons to edit are adding or removing members (the extensions that ring) or switching the ring strategy (the rule that decides which members ring, and in what order, when a call comes in).

1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice management portal and go to **Call Features > Ring Group**.
2. Find the ring group you want to change and click the edit icon ![Edit](/images/pbx/edit.png) next to it.
3. Adjust the settings as needed.
4. Click **Save**, then **Apply**.

:::caution
Changes are not live until you click **Apply**. Saving alone stores the change but does not push it to the phone system, so a group can look updated in the list while calls still route the old way. Always finish with **Apply**.
:::

:::tip
Before you Apply, double-check the member list. Removing a member or changing the ring strategy takes effect for the next incoming call, so a mistake here can send calls to the wrong extensions or leave a caller ringing no one.
:::

## Delete ring groups

You can remove a single ring group or clear out several at once.

1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice management portal and go to **Call Features > Ring Group**.
2. To remove one group, click the delete icon ![Delete](/images/pbx/delete.png) next to it.
3. To remove several groups at once, tick the checkbox for each one you want gone, then click **Delete**.
4. Click **OK**, then **Apply**.

:::caution
Bulk deletion removes every group whose checkbox is ticked. There is no per-group confirmation after this point, so review your selection before clicking **Delete**.
:::

:::danger
Deleting a ring group is permanent and cannot be undone. Any feature that routes calls to the group (for example an inbound route or an IVR (Interactive Voice Response) menu option) loses its destination, so those calls can fail to reach anyone. Confirm that nothing still points to a group before you delete it. As with editing, the deletion is not final until you click **Apply**.
