# Update Company Information for an AI Receptionist

An AI receptionist is an automated attendant that answers incoming calls and responds to callers in natural language. It draws on the company details you store with it to answer those questions. Whenever those details change, update them here so callers always hear what your business actually offers, where it is located, and when it is open.

## Before you begin

Business-hours answers rely on the hours already defined on the PBX (Private Branch Exchange, your phone system). If your company operates across more than one time zone, add each of those time zones to the PBX and configure business hours for them first. The receptionist reads its operating-hours responses from that configuration, so it must be in place before the details below will be accurate.

:::caution
If a time zone has no business hours configured, or you skip this step for a multi-time-zone company, the receptionist can give callers wrong or missing hours. Confirm the time zones and their business hours are set on the PBX before you select them in the steps below.

## Update the details

1. Sign in to the PBX web portal and go to **AI > AI Receptionist**.

   :::note
   This page lists every AI receptionist configured on the system. If you manage more than one, make sure you open the correct one before editing.
   :::

2. Select the receptionist you want to edit, then open the **Company Information** tab.
3. Fill in or revise the fields to match your business.

   | Setting | What to enter |
   |---------|---------------|
   | **Company Core Services** | A description of the main services your company provides. Up to 5,000 characters. |
   | **Company Address** | Your company's address. Up to 255 characters. |
   | **Business Hours** | The time zone or time zones where your company operates. The receptionist answers operating-hours questions using the business hours configured for whichever time zones you select here. |

   :::tip
   Whatever you type in **Company Core Services** is the source the receptionist reads from when a caller asks what you do. Keep it specific and current (for example, list the actual services you offer) rather than generic marketing text, so callers get useful answers.
   :::

   :::note
   The fields have hard limits: 5,000 characters for **Company Core Services** and 255 characters for **Company Address**. Keep entries within these limits so the information saves in full.
   :::

4. Click **Save**.

The receptionist begins using the updated information on its next call.
