# Add an Extension to Favorites (Mobile App)

Favorites give you a shortcut to the people you reach most often. When you flag an extension as a favorite in the Cloud Voice App on your phone, it appears in a dedicated Favorites group so you can find and call that person without scrolling through the full directory.

An extension is the internal number assigned to a colleague on the phone system (for example, 1001). The Directory lists every extension on your account, so the Favorites group is just a personal shortlist you build from that directory.

To add an extension to your Favorites list:

1. In the Cloud Voice App, open **Directory > Extensions**. This is the full list of people on your account.
2. Tap the extension you want to save. This opens that person's details page.
3. On the extension's details page, tap the star icon ![Star icon that marks the extension as a favorite](/images/pbx/favorite.png).

Save the handful of people you call every day (your team lead, the front desk, a key vendor). Favorites is meant for your most frequent contacts, so keeping the list short is what makes it useful.

The extension is now saved to your Favorites, where your most frequently contacted colleagues are grouped together for quick access.
