# Clear the Cloud Voice App cache

The cache is the temporary data the Cloud Voice App keeps on your device (for example contact photos, avatars, and recently loaded screens) so it can reload them quickly. Over time this data can grow or fall out of date. Clearing the cache frees up storage and often fixes display problems such as stale avatars, missing images, or screens that do not refresh.

You clear the cache from the app's Advanced settings.

:::tip
Clearing the cache is a safe first step to try when the app looks out of date or feels sluggish. Reach for it before reinstalling the app or changing other settings.
:::

## Steps

1. On the **Call** page, tap your account in the top-left corner to open the account panel.
2. Go to **Settings > Advanced**.
3. Clear the cache:
   1. Tap **Clear Cache**.
   2. In the confirmation pop-up, tap **OK**.

:::note
The **Advanced** menu lives inside **Settings**, which you reach from the account panel you opened in step 1. If you do not see **Clear Cache**, make sure you are on the **Advanced** page and not another settings section.
:::

## What happens next

The app removes its cached data and returns you to the settings screen.

:::note
Cached items are rebuilt automatically. The next time you open a screen that used cached images or lists, the app downloads that data again, so the first load right after clearing can be slightly slower than usual.
