# What are the requirements for using the Cloud Voice App?

Before you install or sign in to the Cloud Voice App, confirm two things: the phone system it connects to is running a supported software version, and the device you plan to run the app on meets the minimum specifications. Checking this first avoids sign-in failures after a rollout. Both sides must meet the requirements below.

## Phone system

The Cloud Voice App connects to your Cloud Voice phone system, so that system must be running a compatible software version.

| Requirement | Details |
| --- | --- |
| Cloud Voice version | 84.5.0.86 or later |

:::note
This is a minimum version. If the phone system is running anything older than 84.5.0.86, upgrade it before you deploy the app, otherwise clients may fail to connect or sign in.

## Cloud Voice App

The Cloud Voice App runs on mobile devices, desktop computers, and web browsers. The minimum requirements differ by client, so match the tables below to the device the user actually has.

:::caution
The Cloud Voice App is not supported on Android GO, Android tablets, iPad, or Google One devices. Do not plan a deployment around any of these devices.

### Mobile

| Platform | Requirement |
| --- | --- |
| iOS | iOS 11.0 or later |
| Android | Android 8.0 or later |

### Desktop

The figures below are minimums. More memory or free disk space than listed is fine.

| Platform | Requirement |
| --- | --- |
| Windows | Windows 7 or later; 2 GHz processor (32-bit or 64-bit) or faster; 4 GB of memory or more; at least 300 MB of free disk space |
| macOS | OS X 10.11 El Capitan or later |

### Web browser

| Browser | Requirement |
| --- | --- |
| Google Chrome | Version 87 or later |
| Microsoft Edge | Version 87 or later |
| Opera | Version 72 or later |

:::tip
The Web Client runs in a supported browser with nothing to install, so it is the quickest way to get a user working or to test connectivity from a machine where you cannot install software.
