# Cancel a Scheduled Fax

When you schedule an outbound fax, it is held in a queue and sent automatically at the date and time you picked. If you no longer need it delivered, you can cancel it from the desktop app at any point before the send time arrives.

"Scheduled" is the status the app gives a fax that is waiting for its send time. Only faxes in this state are still in the queue and can be cancelled here.

## Cancel the fax

1. Open the Cloud Voice App on your desktop and go to **Fax Management > Fax**. This screen lists your outbound faxes and their current status.
2. To narrow the list to faxes still waiting to be sent, set the **Status** filter at the top of the list to **Scheduled**. This step is optional but makes the fax easier to find.

   If you have many faxes, filtering by **Scheduled** hides ones that were already sent or failed, so you do not accidentally act on the wrong entry.

3. Find the fax you want to stop, click the ![down arrow](/images/pbx/arrow-down-bold.png) menu on its right, and choose **Cancel**.

   :::caution
   Cancelling removes the fax from the queue permanently. There is no undo. If you still need to send that document later, you must create and schedule a new fax.

The scheduled outbound fax is cancelled and will not be sent.
