# Change the Display Language

The Cloud Voice App for desktop can display its interface in whichever language you prefer. Set it from the app's own settings; the change takes effect after a quick restart.

## Change the language

1. Open the settings for the desktop app. Where you find them depends on your operating system:

   - **Windows**: Right-click the Cloud Voice App icon ![Cloud Voice App tray icon](/images/pbx/linkus-desktop-logo.png) in the system tray, then choose **Settings**.

   - **macOS**: In the menu bar, click **Cloud Voice App**, then choose **Settings**.

2. Open the **Language** drop-down list and pick the language you want.

3. When prompted, click **Reboot Now** to apply the new language.

   :::caution
   The app closes and reopens right away so the interface can reload in your chosen language. Finish or hand off any active call before you continue, since the restart interrupts what the app is doing.
