# Delete Faxes

Every fax you send or receive in the Cloud Voice App is recorded as a log entry, and the transmitted file is stored alongside it. When you no longer need certain faxes, you can clear them out one at a time or in bulk.

Deleting a fax is permanent. There is no undo, so confirm you have the correct faxes selected before you delete.

- Deleting a fax removes both the log entry and the stored fax file from the Cloud Voice App.
- If you delete an outbound fax that is still waiting to go out, the send is cancelled.

## Delete faxes

1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice App and open **Fax Management > Fax**.

2. Optional: Use the filters above the list to find the faxes you want to remove.

   | Filter | What it does |
   | --- | --- |
   | Fax Direction | Choose **Send** or **Receive** to show only outbound or inbound faxes. |
   | Status | Pick a status to show only faxes in that state. |

   You can also apply the per-column filters in the list itself to narrow the results further.

3. Delete the faxes you no longer need.

   **To delete a single fax:**

   1. On the right side of the fax log, click the ![down arrow](/images/pbx/arrow-down-bold.png) menu, then choose **Delete**.
   2. Click **OK** to confirm.

   **To delete several faxes at once:**

   1. Select the checkbox next to each fax you want to remove, then click **Delete**.
   2. Click **OK** to confirm.

## Result

The selected fax logs and their stored files are removed from the Cloud Voice App.
