# Disable Microsoft Outlook Integration

If you no longer want your calls and contacts linked between the Cloud Voice App and Outlook, you can remove the connection. Disabling it takes two parts: first switch off the integration inside the Cloud Voice App, then deactivate its add-in inside Outlook. An add-in is a small companion program that plugs Cloud Voice features (such as click-to-call and contact matching) into Outlook. This process applies only to Outlook for Windows.

:::caution
Both steps below are required for a full disable. Switching off the toggle in Step 1 stops the integration, but the add-in stays loaded in Outlook until you deactivate it in Step 2. If you skip Step 2, Outlook may still show a non-working Cloud Voice button or tab.
:::

## Step 1. Turn off the integration in the Cloud Voice App

1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice App on your desktop and open **Preferences > Outlook Integration**.

   :::note
   **Preferences** opens from the app's settings menu. The **Outlook Integration** section is where this connection is turned on or off.
   :::

2. Switch off **Enable Outlook Integration**.

3. Click **Save**.

   :::note
   The change is not applied until you click **Save**. If you close the window first, the integration stays on.
   :::

## Step 2. Deactivate the add-in in Outlook

1. Open Outlook and go to **File > Options**.

2. In the Options window, select **Add-ins**, then click **Go...**.

   :::tip
   The **Go...** button sits next to a **Manage** dropdown. Make sure the dropdown is set to **COM Add-ins** before you click **Go...**, so the correct list opens.

3. In the add-ins dialog, clear the **Cloud Voice Outlook Integration** checkbox and click **OK**.

   :::note
   Clearing the checkbox only inactivates the add-in. It does not uninstall the Cloud Voice App or the add-in itself, so you can re-enable it later without reinstalling anything.
   :::

## Result

The link between the Cloud Voice App and Outlook is now off, and every feature that relied on the Outlook integration stops working.

:::tip
To turn the integration back on later, reverse these steps: switch **Enable Outlook Integration** on again in the Cloud Voice App, then re-select the **Cloud Voice Outlook Integration** checkbox in Outlook.
