## Before you begin

Ask your system administrator for the following details:

- Your username
- Your password
- The domain name of your server

:::note
Depending on the login methods your administrator has enabled, your username may be either your extension number or your email address.

   b. In the **Password** field, type the password that goes with that username.

4. If you have configured [two-factor authentication (2FA)](/pbx/desktop-client-user-guide/two-factor-authentication-2fa-overview/), supply an authentication code when prompted.

   a. Enter the authentication code from your authenticator app or from your email.

   b. Optional: Select the **Trusted Device** checkbox.

      :::tip
      On the device you use most often, mark it as trusted so you won't be prompted for an authentication code again on that device for the next 180 days.
      :::

   c. Click **LOG IN**.

      :::note
      The first time you sign in to an extension account, you are asked to accept a privacy policy agreement and to change the initial password. After you finish, sign in again using your new password.
