# Log in to the Cloud Voice App with a Google Account

When your administrator connects Cloud Voice to Google Workspace, you can skip the usual credentials and sign in to the desktop app straight through your Google account.

:::note
Single Sign-On (SSO) lets you use one identity, in this case your Google Workspace account, to reach several services without a separate username and password for each one. With SSO turned on, Google confirms who you are and Cloud Voice trusts that result, so you never type a Cloud Voice password.
:::

## Before you begin

Confirm the following:

- Your administrator has linked the system to **Google Workspace** and turned on **Single Sign-On (SSO)**.
- Your desktop app is up to date:
  - **Cloud Voice App for Windows**: version 1.12.4 or later
  - **Cloud Voice App for Mac**: version 1.12.4 or later

:::caution
Google sign-in is only available on version 1.12.4 or later. If your app is older, update it first, otherwise the Google option will not work.
:::

## Sign in with Google

1. Launch the Cloud Voice desktop app.
2. In the **Domain** field, type the server address that has been approved for Google SSO.

   :::note
   Your administrator provides this server address. It is the same domain you would normally use to reach Cloud Voice. If you are unsure what to enter, ask your administrator rather than guessing.
   :::

3. Select the Google button ![Google sign-in icon](/images/pbx/google.png) and sign in with your Google account.

   Once Google accepts your credentials, the desktop app logs you in automatically.

   :::caution
   Sign in with the Google account your administrator added to Google Workspace and linked to your extension. A personal Gmail address, or any account that has not been linked, will be rejected.
