# Manage Company Contacts

Company contacts are shared directories that everyone with access can reach from the Cloud Voice App. From the desktop app you can correct a contact's details or remove an entry entirely, and any change you make is pushed back to the server and mirrored on your other Cloud Voice Apps automatically.

## Before you begin

Your system administrator must have given you permission to manage company contacts, or at least the specific phonebook you want to work in. If you cannot edit or delete an entry, ask your administrator to check your access.

## Edit a company contact

1. In the desktop Cloud Voice App, open **Contacts**.
2. In the top-left corner, click the phonebook selector ![Phonebook selector icon](/images/pbx/web-group.png), then choose **Company Contacts** or the phonebook that holds the contact you want to change.

   **Company Contacts** is the full shared directory the whole company can see. A phonebook is a smaller named list your administrator carved out of it. If you cannot find the entry in one, switch the selector to the other.

3. Find the contact card and click the edit icon ![Edit icon](/images/pbx/edit-web-fill.png).
4. Update the fields you need to change, then click **Save**.

## Delete a company contact

:::caution
Deleting a company contact removes it everywhere, not just on your app. Once you confirm, the entry is erased from the server as well, so make sure you really want it gone before you continue.

1. In the desktop Cloud Voice App, open **Contacts**.
2. In the top-left corner, click the phonebook selector ![Phonebook selector icon](/images/pbx/web-group.png), then choose **Company Contacts** or the phonebook that holds the contact.
3. On the contact card, click the more-options icon ![More options icon](/images/pbx/web-client-more.png), then click **Delete**.
4. Click **OK** in the confirmation window.
