# Reset Your Cloud Voice App Password

Locked out of the desktop Cloud Voice App? You can request a new password straight from the sign-in screen and set it yourself through a secure email link.

## Reset the password

1. On the Cloud Voice App sign-in screen, select **Forget Password?**.

2. Complete the **Forgot Password** form:

   a. Enter your extension number in the **Extension Number** field. This is the internal line number assigned to you.

   b. In the **Email Address** field, type the email address that is associated with your extension.

      :::caution
      This must be the exact email address already registered to your extension. If it does not match what is on file, no reset email is sent, and you will not receive a link. If you are unsure which address is on file, ask your Cloud Voice administrator.
      :::

   c. In the **Domain** field, enter your server's domain name.

      :::tip
      The domain is the web address of your Cloud Voice system (the same server your app connects to). If you do not know it, check with your Cloud Voice administrator.
      :::

   d. Select **Send**. A message with password reset instructions is delivered to your inbox.

3. Open the email and select the reset link.

   :::note
   The reset link expires after 30 minutes and works only once. If it expires or you have already used it, return to step 1 and request a new one.

   The link opens a **Reset Password** page in your browser.

4. On the **Reset Password** page, enter your new password in both fields, then select **Save**. Your login password is now updated.
