# Update Your Extension Profile

Your extension profile holds the name, contact details, and photo that identify you across the phone system. Keeping it accurate ensures voicemail and missed-call notifications reach you and that colleagues see the right information. Follow the steps below to add a profile image and edit your account details in the Cloud Voice App desktop client.

## Update your profile

1. Open the Cloud Voice App desktop client and navigate to **Preferences > User > User Information**.

2. To add or change your photo, select the camera icon ![Camera icon for uploading a profile photo](/images/pbx/camera.png) and choose an image file.

   Upload a `.jpg` or `.png` file no larger than 1 MB.
   :::

3. Edit any of the following details as needed:

   - **First Name**
   - **Last Name**
   - **Email Address**: The address where you receive voicemail messages along with alerts for missed calls and password changes.
   - **Mobile Number**: The number used to reach you when calls are routed to your mobile.
   - **System Prompt Language**: The language used for system prompts played to you during a call.

   System prompts are the automated voice messages the phone system plays to you (for example, prompts asking you to enter a PIN or announcing a call). This setting only changes the language you hear, not the language other people hear.

4. Select **Save** to apply your changes.
