# Update Client Secret for Google Workspace Integration

The Google Workspace integration signs in using OAuth (Open Authorization, the standard Google uses to let one application act on your behalf). Part of that sign-in is a client secret: a password-like string that proves Cloud Voice is the app Google expects. If that secret changes, for example after you rotate credentials in the Google Cloud console, you must give the new value to Cloud Voice so the connection keeps working. The steps below show you where to enter it.

The client secret is created and rotated in the Google Cloud console, not in Cloud Voice. Generate or copy the replacement value there first, then come back here to paste it in.

## Procedure

1. Sign in to the PBX web portal and open **Integrations > Collaboration**.

   :::note
   The **Collaboration** page is where Cloud Voice stores your Google Workspace connection settings. The **Basic** section shows the details of the current link.
   :::

2. In the **Basic** section, find **Update Client Secret** at the top right and click it.

3. In the window that opens, supply the new secret:

   a. Paste the new value into the **Client Secret** field.

      :::tip
      Copy the secret straight from the Google Cloud console and paste the whole string. A stray leading or trailing space will make the value look correct but fail to authenticate.
      :::

   b. Click **Save**.

      :::caution
      The client secret you enter here must match the value in the Google Cloud console exactly. If the two do not match, Cloud Voice can no longer authenticate and integration features (such as contact sync and calendar) stop working until you enter the correct secret. You must click **Save** to apply the change: closing the window keeps the old secret.
