# Integration Guides

Cloud Voice interoperates with a wide range of third-party devices and software that have been tested against the platform. Use the guides below to set up the integration you need. They are grouped by category to help you find the right instructions quickly.

:::note
Each item on this page links to its own step-by-step guide. Open the guide for the product you are connecting before you begin: it lists the prerequisites, the accounts and permissions you will need, and the exact configuration steps for both Cloud Voice and the third-party system.

## Database

Connect Cloud Voice to your database so that inbound calls trigger an automatic contact lookup. When a number matches your phonebook, the caller's name appears instantly, and you can route the call based on the match.

- ![Microsoft SQL Server logo](/images/pbx/integrations-microsoft-sql.png) [Microsoft SQL](/pbx/integrations/microsoft-sql/microsoft-sql-integration-guide/)
- ![LDAP directory logo](/images/pbx/integrations-ldap.png) [LDAP Server](/pbx/integrations/ldap/ldap-server-integration-guide/)

LDAP stands for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, a standard way for systems to read contact and user records from a shared directory.

:::tip
Contact lookup works by matching the incoming caller ID against the numbers stored in your database. Store those numbers in the same format your carrier delivers them (for example, full E.164 numbers such as `+15551234567`). If the formats do not match, the lookup silently returns no name.

## Collaboration Tools

Link Cloud Voice with the business platforms your team already relies on to keep work flowing smoothly across systems. The Microsoft Teams integration lets people place and answer calls directly in Teams while keeping the phone system's unified communications features. Directory service integrations, whether cloud-based or on-premises, give the system access to your directory data for user synchronization and single sign-on (SSO).

- ![Red Hat SSO logo](/images/pbx/integrations-red-hat.png) [Red Hat SSO](/pbx/integrations/red-hat/red-hat-sso-integration-guide/)

:::note
Microsoft Teams can be connected in two ways. Direct Integration links Cloud Voice to Teams, and Middleware routes the connection through a separate connector application. Read both guides first, then pick the one that fits your Teams and licensing setup. You only need one.
:::

:::caution
Single sign-on and directory synchronization change how people log in to the phone system. A misconfigured directory sync or SSO setting can lock users out of Cloud Voice. Test the integration with a single pilot account and confirm you can still sign in before you roll it out to everyone.

## CRM Systems

Pair Cloud Voice with your CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system to unlock click-to-call, call pop-ups, and synchronization of contacts and call records. These features help your staff handle calls faster and keep a complete history of every customer interaction, making it easier to build strong relationships.

:::tip
If your CRM is not in the list above, use the Custom CRM Template. It gives you a starting point for connecting a CRM that does not have a ready-made guide.

## Helpdesk System

Connect Cloud Voice to your helpdesk to make customer support faster and simpler. Agents get one-click dialing, automatic call logging inside the helpdesk, and caller identification before they pick up. You can also synchronize contacts from the helpdesk and automatically create tickets for both inbound and outbound calls.

## Speech to Text (STT)

Cloud Voice supports Speech-to-Text (STT), which converts call audio into readable text transcripts.

## Virtual Fax

Add online faxing to Cloud Voice so you can send and receive faxes securely over the internet through a trusted fax provider's network.

- ![Virtual fax logo](/images/pbx/integrations-efax.png) [Virtual Fax](/pbx/integrations/fax/online-fax-integration-overview/)

## Data Connector

Export Cloud Voice data to a third-party database such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL. Once the data is synchronized, business intelligence (BI) tools, accounting systems, and other applications can use it for analytics and visualization.

- ![Data connector logo](/images/pbx/data-connector.png) [Data Connector](/pbx/integrations/data-connector/data-connector-integration-overview/)

:::note
Use the Data Connector when you need Cloud Voice data to live in an external database for reporting. This is the opposite direction from the Database integration above, which reads contact records into Cloud Voice for caller lookup.

## IP Intercom Devices

Connect Cloud Voice to IP (Internet Protocol) intercoms and door phones so you can monitor entrances and control access remotely.

- ![Akuvox intercom logo](/images/pbx/integrations-akuvox.png) [Akuvox IP Intercom](/pbx/integrations/akuvox/akuvox-ip-intercom-integration-overview/)

## PBX System

Interconnect the phone systems at your headquarters and remote offices so that users across locations can call one another directly. PBX stands for Private Branch Exchange, the phone system that manages calls for your organization.

- ![Cloud Voice PBX logo](/images/pbx/integrations-pae.png) [Cloud Voice PBX System](/pbx/integrations/cloud-voice/interconnect-two-cloud-voices/)

## VoIP Gateways

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) gateways let Cloud Voice work with older analog phones and physical phone lines by converting them to and from internet calls. Use a gateway to bring analog phones and physical trunks into the system, including PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) lines, GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) mobile trunks, and E1/T1/PRI (Primary Rate Interface) circuits.

An FXS (Foreign eXchange Subscriber) gateway connects analog handsets and fax machines to the system. An FXO (Foreign eXchange Office) gateway connects the system to analog phone lines from a provider.

- ![TG gateway logo](/images/pbx/integrations-tg.png) [Cloud Voice TG Gateway](/pbx/integrations/cloud-voice-tg/connect-cloud-voice-cloud-voice-and-cloud-voice-tg-gateway/)

:::danger
Analog phones added through a gateway do not automatically send a location to emergency services. Confirm exactly how 911 and E911 emergency calling is handled for every analog extension before it goes into service. Getting this wrong can prevent an emergency call from reaching help or from showing the correct address.
