# Disconnect Microsoft SQL Integration

Cloud Voice supports one active database integration at a time. Before you can connect a different data source, you must remove the existing Microsoft SQL link so a new integration can take its place. During removal you can choose whether to keep or discard the contacts and phonebook that the integration created.

:::note
"PBX" (Private Branch Exchange) is the phone system that Cloud Voice manages for your account. The web portal is where you administer it. "SQL" (Structured Query Language) refers to the Microsoft SQL Server database you originally connected as a contact source.
:::

## Disconnect the integration

1. Open the Microsoft SQL configuration page:
   1. Sign in to the PBX web portal and navigate to **Contacts > Company Contacts**.
   2. Select **Synchronize Contacts** at the top of the page.

   :::note
   **Synchronize Contacts** is the single place where every third-party database integration is managed, so it is also where you go to disconnect one.
   :::

2. Remove the Microsoft SQL link:

   1. In the top-right corner, select **Disconnect**.
   2. Optional: To also remove the data the integration brought in, select **Delete Synced Contacts** and **Delete Phonebook created by synchronization**.
   3. Select **Confirm**.

   :::tip
   Leave both delete checkboxes clear if you want to keep the contacts and phonebook after disconnecting. By default the synced data stays in Cloud Voice, so you can still use it even though the live sync has stopped.
   :::

   :::danger
   Selecting **Delete Synced Contacts** or **Delete Phonebook created by synchronization** permanently removes that data from Cloud Voice once you confirm. This cannot be undone from the portal. Only tick these boxes if you are certain you no longer need the imported contacts or the generated phonebook.
   :::

## Result

The Microsoft SQL integration is removed, and Cloud Voice is ready for you to set up a different database connection.
