# Manually Perform User Synchronization

Cloud Voice syncs user and group data from Red Hat SSO (Single Sign-On, the identity service that lets people log in once and reach multiple apps) on its own schedule, but you don't have to wait for the next automatic run. When you have just changed a synchronization rule or updated a user or group in Red Hat SSO and want that change reflected in the phone system immediately, you can start a one-time sync by hand.

:::note
The automatic sync keeps running on its normal schedule. Running a manual sync does not change that schedule, it just adds one extra pass right now.
:::

## Run a sync on demand

1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice management portal and open **Integrations > Collaboration**.
2. In the **Basic** section, click **Update Now**.

:::tip
Use **Update Now** right after you edit a synchronization rule or change someone's details in Red Hat SSO. It confirms your change is correct without waiting for the next scheduled run.
:::

## Result

Cloud Voice runs a single synchronization pass right away, pulling the current Red Hat SSO user and group information into your phone system. When it finishes, the manual run stops and the system returns to its normal automatic schedule.
