# Disable Zendesk Integration

If you need to pause the link between your phone system and Zendesk, you can switch the integration off at any time. Turning it off stops the two services from exchanging data but leaves your configuration in place, so you can turn it back on later without setting it up again.

:::note
Zendesk is a helpdesk (customer support ticketing) product. In the portal, all helpdesk connections, including Zendesk, live under **Integrations > Helpdesk**.
:::

## Turn off the integration

1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice management portal and open **Integrations > Helpdesk**.
2. At the top of the Zendesk page, toggle the switch to the off position.

   :::caution
   While the integration is off, the two systems stop exchanging data. Any feature that depends on the connection (for example, contact matching or call records appearing in Zendesk) stops working until you turn it back on.
   :::
3. Click **Save**. The change does not take effect until you save.

## What happens next

- The **Status** field changes to **Disabled**.
- Your Zendesk settings are kept as they are. The next time you enable the integration, it uses these saved values right away.

:::tip
Because the configuration is retained, you do not have to re-enter your Zendesk details or re-authorize the connection when you enable it again. This makes disabling a safe way to pause the integration temporarily rather than removing it entirely.
