# Change Your Password

This page shows you how to change the login password for the Cloud Voice App from your mobile device. Do this when you want to rotate your credentials on a schedule, or when you suspect your current password has been exposed and needs to be replaced.

:::note
The login password is the password you type to sign in to the Cloud Voice App. Changing it here only affects how you access the app; it does not change your extension number, voicemail PIN, or any desk phone settings.
:::

## Change your login password

1. On the **Calls** page, tap your account name in the top-left corner.
2. Choose **Settings > Password Management**.
3. On the **Password Management** page, fill in the fields:

   ![Password Management fields for entering the current and new passwords](/images/pbx/change-password.png)

   - **Old Password**: Type your current password.
   - **New Password**: Type the password you want to use from now on.
   - **Confirm Password**: Type the new password again so the app can confirm the two entries match.

   :::tip
   Choose a strong password that you do not reuse on other services. A longer mix of letters, numbers, and symbols is harder to guess than a short one.
   :::
4. Tap **Save** in the top-right corner.

:::caution
Saving a new password immediately signs you out of the Cloud Voice App on this device. Make sure you know the new password before you tap **Save**, because you will need it to sign back in right away.
:::

## What happens next

Your login password is updated at once, and the app automatically signs you out of your account.

Sign back in to the Cloud Voice App using your new password.
