# Cloud Voice App Login Overview

The Cloud Voice App gives you several ways to sign in on your mobile device. You can authenticate with your extension account (the phone account your administrator created for you) or, when your administrator has enabled it, use an account from a third-party identity provider such as Microsoft or Google. This page summarizes the available options so you can pick the one that fits how your organization is set up.

:::note
Not every option below is available on every system. The third-party methods only appear if your administrator has connected the server to that provider. If you are unsure which method to use, ask your administrator or start with your welcome email.
:::

## Sign in with your extension account

Your extension account works with three sign-in methods: scanning a QR (Quick Response) code, opening a login link, or typing your credentials by hand. The first two are the fastest, while the third is useful when you already have your account details or when you cannot open the welcome email on the same device.

### Quick login

When your account is created, you receive a welcome email that contains both a QR code and a login link. Either one lets you connect the app to the server in a single step, without entering any details manually.

:::tip
For a new user, the QR code or login link is the easiest path. It fills in the server address and your credentials automatically, so there is nothing to type and nothing to mistype.
:::

:::note
The QR code and login link are tied to your specific extension. Only use the email that was sent to you, and treat the link like a password: anyone who opens it could sign in as you.
:::

To get started, see:

### Manual login

If you prefer to enter everything yourself, ask your system administrator for three things: your extension username, your password, and the network details of the server (the address and port the app connects to). With that information in hand, you can type it directly into the app to sign in.

:::note
Manual login is the fallback when you do not have the welcome email, or when the QR code and login link have expired. The server network details must be entered exactly as your administrator provides them, or the app cannot reach the server.
:::

For the full procedure, see [Log in with your extension account using manually entered credentials](/pbx/mobile-client-user-guide/log-in-to-cloud-voice-app-with-extension-account-using-manually-entered-credentials/).

## Sign in with a third-party account

If your administrator has connected the server to an external identity system, you can skip a separate Cloud Voice login and sign in with that account instead. This lets you reuse the same username and password you already use for email or other company tools.

:::note
Third-party sign-in only works after your administrator integrates the server with that provider. If the button for your provider does not appear on the login screen, the integration has not been set up yet.

Depending on which system your organization uses, see:

- [Log in with a Microsoft account](/pbx/mobile-client-user-guide/log-in-to-cloud-voice-app-with-microsoft-account/): use this when the server is integrated with Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
- [Log in with an Active Directory domain account](/pbx/mobile-client-user-guide/log-in-to-cloud-voice-app-with-active-directory-domain-account/): use this when the server is integrated with Active Directory (AD), the on-premises directory service common on Windows networks.
- [Log in with a Google account](/pbx/mobile-client-user-guide/log-in-to-cloud-voice-app-with-google-account/): use this when the server is integrated with Google Workspace.
