# Configure Call Panel Type

The call panel is the in-call screen you see once a call connects. It holds the buttons for actions such as mute, hold, transfer, and keypad. The Cloud Voice App lets you decide how those buttons are arranged so you can choose the layout that feels most natural for the way you take and manage calls.

:::note
This setting only rearranges the buttons on the in-call screen. It does not change what any button does or how calls are routed.
:::

## Before you start

Confirm that your Cloud Voice App is up to date. This setting is available on the following versions or newer:

- **iOS**: 5.27.18 or later
- **Android**: 5.27.12 or later

:::caution
If your app is older than the version listed for your device, the **Call Panel Type** option will not appear in Settings. Update the Cloud Voice App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) first, then return to these steps.
:::

## Change the call panel layout

1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice App.
2. On the **Calls** screen, tap your account in the top-left corner.
3. Open **Settings > Call Panel Type**.

4. Tap the layout you want, then tap **Done**.

:::tip
Pick the layout that keeps the actions you use most (for example transfer, hold, or mute) easiest to reach. This cuts down on hunting for buttons while a caller is on the line.
:::

Your choice is saved to the Cloud Voice App on this device and applies the next time you are on a call. A call already in progress keeps its current layout until it ends.
