# Sync Call History to iPhone

When you run the Cloud Voice App on an iPhone, your call records are copied into the iPhone's native call history automatically. Here "call record" means a CDR (Call Detail Record), the log entry that captures who you called or who called you, along with the time and duration. Copying these into the iPhone lets you see and return business calls straight from the built-in Phone app. If you would rather keep your business calls separate from the device's call log, you can switch the behavior off at any time.

:::note
This setting is available only in the iOS version of the Cloud Voice App. iPhone users see it; Android users will not find a matching option.
:::

:::tip
Synchronization is turned on by default, so a new iPhone user does not have to do anything to see business calls in the native Phone app. You only need these steps if you want to change the default.
:::

## Turn on call history sync

1. On the **Calls** screen, tap your account in the top-left corner.
2. Open **Settings > Advanced**.
3. Enable **Sync CDR to iPhone**.

:::caution
With sync on, business call records appear in the iPhone's native Phone app, where anyone using the device can see them and where they may be included in device backups. Confirm this is acceptable before leaving it enabled on a shared or personal phone.
:::

## Turn off call history sync

1. On the **Calls** screen, tap your account in the top-left corner.
2. Open **Settings > Advanced**.
3. Disable **Sync CDR to iPhone**.

:::note
Turning sync off stops new call records from being added to the native Phone app going forward. Records already copied there stay until you delete them from the iPhone's own call history.
