# Forward an Incoming Call to Voicemail

When a call comes in and you would rather not answer it live, you can drop it directly into voicemail from the incoming call screen so the caller can leave a message.

This option is available in the Cloud Voice App for Android only.

## Before you start

Confirm the following before using this feature:

- **Cloud Voice system**: Your system is running firmware `84.20.0.128` or later.
- **Cloud Voice App**: You are on version `5.19.7` or later, and the app is turned on as a ring destination in your [Ring Strategy](/pbx/mobile-client-user-guide/presence-settings/#presence-settings__section_ojg_5jp_bwb).

The incoming call screen (and its voicemail button) only appears when the call actually rings the app. If the Cloud Voice App is not enabled as a ring destination in your Ring Strategy, the call will not reach your phone, so there will be nothing to send to voicemail.

## Send the call to voicemail

While your extension is ringing, tap the voicemail icon ![Voicemail icon](/images/pbx/Voicemails-gary-2.png) on the incoming call screen.

The call stops ringing and is routed to your voicemail, where the caller can record a message.
