# Manage Company Contacts

Company contacts are shared directory entries that everyone with the right access can see. When you edit or delete one from the Cloud Voice App on your phone, the change is written back to the server and reflected across every Cloud Voice App tied to your account, including the desktop and web versions.

## Before you begin

Your system administrator must grant you permission to manage company contacts, or at least the specific phonebook you want to work in. Without that access, the entries are read-only and you can view them but not change them.

## Edit a company contact

1. Open the Cloud Voice App and go to **Directory > Contacts**.
2. In the top-left corner, choose **Company Contact**, or pick the phonebook that holds the entry you want to change.
3. Tap the contact to open it, then tap the edit icon ![Edit](/images/pbx/edit.png) in the top-right corner.
4. Update the contact's details and remark (the remark is a free-text note you can attach to the entry).
5. Tap the confirm control in the top-right corner to save.

The contact reflects your changes immediately.

:::note
Company contacts are shared, so any edit you save here changes the entry for everyone in your organization, not just your own view. Double-check names and numbers before you save.

## Delete a company contact

:::danger
Deleting a company contact from the Cloud Voice App also removes it from the server, so it disappears for everyone and cannot be recovered. Make sure no one still needs the entry before you continue.
:::

1. In the Cloud Voice App, go to **Directory > Contacts**.
2. In the top-left corner, choose **Company Contact**, or select the phonebook that holds the entry.
3. Tap the contact, then tap the edit icon ![Edit](/images/pbx/edit.png) in the top-right corner.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the edit screen and tap **Delete**.
5. When prompted to confirm, tap **OK**.
