# Cancel a Scheduled Fax

A fax you schedule stays queued until its send time arrives, at which point Cloud Voice transmits it automatically. If you no longer need that fax to go out, you can cancel it any time before it is sent. This is useful when the recipient changes, the document was wrong, or the fax is simply no longer needed.

:::note
The web client is the browser version of the Cloud Voice App. Scheduled faxes wait in the outbound queue with a **Scheduled** status until their send time, so cancelling one only removes it from that queue: it does not affect faxes that have already been sent.
:::

## Cancel the fax

1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice App web client and open **Fax Management > Fax**.
2. (Optional) To narrow the list to faxes that are still waiting to send, set the **Status** filter at the top to **Scheduled**.

   :::tip
   The **Fax** list shows every fax (sent, failed, and scheduled) mixed together. Filtering by **Scheduled** hides the rest so you can find the one you want to stop faster, especially on a busy account.
   :::

3. Find the fax you want to stop, click the ![down arrow](/images/pbx/arrow-down-bold.png) menu on its row, and choose **Cancel**.

:::caution
Cancelling works only while the fax is still scheduled. Once the send time is reached and the fax starts transmitting or has already been sent, the **Cancel** option is no longer available. Cancelling also cannot be undone: to send the document later, schedule or send it again as a new fax.
:::

The fax is removed from the send queue and will not be transmitted.
