# Choose Email Client

When you share call details for follow-up, the Cloud Voice App hands the message off to an email client to compose and send it. You can do this both during an active call and after the call ends. You decide which client the app uses, so the outgoing email opens in whatever tool you already work in.

:::note
This setting requires firmware version 84.21.0.66 or later on your Cloud Voice system.
:::

## Set your preferred client

1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice App Web Client and open **Preferences > Features > Call Follow-Up Via Email**.
2. Open the **Choose Email Client** drop-down and pick the client you want to use for sending call details.

   | Option | What it does |
   | --- | --- |
   | System Default | Composes and sends the message through whatever email client is set as the default in your computer's operating system. |
   | Outlook Web Client | Composes and sends the message in the Outlook web client. |
   | Gmail Web Client | Composes and sends the message in the Gmail web client. |
   | Yahoo Web Client | Composes and sends the message in the Yahoo web client. |

   :::tip
   Pick **System Default** only if the computer has a desktop mail app set as its default. On a machine with no default mail app configured, choose one of the web client options (Outlook, Gmail, or Yahoo) instead, since those open the message straight in the browser.
   :::

3. Click **Save**.

## Result

The [Send Call Details to Email Addresses](/pbx/web-client-user-guide/send-call-details-via-email/) feature now routes through the client you chose. Every follow-up email you send from that point on opens in it.
