# Delete Faxes

Every fax you send or receive in the Cloud Voice App is recorded as a log entry, and the document itself is stored alongside it. When you no longer need a particular fax, you can clear it out at any time.

:::caution
- Removing an outbound fax that is still waiting to be sent cancels its delivery.
- A delete removes both the log entry and the stored fax document from your Cloud Voice App.

## Delete one or more faxes

1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice App and open **Fax Management > Fax**.

2. Optional: Use the filters above the list to find the faxes you want to remove.

   | Filter | What it does |
   | --- | --- |
   | Fax Direction | Choose **Send** or **Receive** to show only sent or only received faxes. |
   | Status | Pick a delivery status to show matching faxes. |

   You can further refine the results using the column filters within the list itself.

3. Delete the faxes you no longer need.

   :::tip
   If a fax might be needed again (for records or compliance), download or save a copy before deleting it. A deleted fax is cleared from your Cloud Voice App along with its log entry.

   **To delete a single fax:**

   1. Locate the fax in the list and click the drop-down arrow ![Drop-down arrow](/images/pbx/arrow-down-bold.png) at the far right of its row, then choose **Delete**.
   2. Confirm by clicking **OK** in the dialog that appears.

   **To delete several faxes at once:**

   1. Tick the checkbox next to each fax you want to remove, then click **Delete**.
   2. Confirm by clicking **OK** in the dialog that appears.

The selected fax logs and their stored documents are removed.
