# Log Out of Cloud Voice App Web Client

When you finish working in the Cloud Voice App Web Client, sign out to close your session. Logging out is good practice on any computer you share with others, so the next person cannot use your phone system access.

The Web Client is the browser-based version of the Cloud Voice App. Signing out here ends your session in this browser only. It does not sign you out of the Cloud Voice App on your phone or desktop.

## Sign out

1. In the upper-right corner, select your account name. This opens the account menu (a drop-down list).
2. From the menu that appears, choose **Log out**.

Your session ends and you are returned to the sign-in page.

The Web Client acts as a softphone (a phone that runs in software instead of a physical desk phone). If you are on a call in the browser when you log out, that call ends. You also stop receiving calls in the browser until you sign in again.

On a shared or public computer, always log out when you are done. To return, sign in again with your usual credentials or magic-link email.
