# Update a Scheduled Meeting

Plans change. Once you have generated a link for a meeting that hasn't happened yet, you can go back and adjust its details from the web client. The join link is reused, so you do not have to resend a brand new link every time something moves.

## Edit an upcoming meeting

1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice App web client and open **Video Conferencing**.
2. Find the meeting under **Upcoming Meetings** and select the edit icon ![Edit a meeting](/images/pbx/edit.png) next to it.
3. In the dialog that opens, change any of the following:
   - **Meeting Name**: Rename the meeting.
   - **Meeting Time**: Reschedule the meeting to a new date and time.
   - **Meeting Password**: Read-only. This value is set when the meeting is created and cannot be changed here.
   - **Host Password**: Set a new host password. The host password is what lets you claim host controls after joining.
   - **Memo**: Update the meeting notes.
4. Select **Save**.

:::note
A host password must include a number, an uppercase letter, and a lowercase letter.
:::

:::caution
The join link stays fixed, but it is only valid for 48 hours starting from the scheduled meeting time. If you push the meeting to a later date, the countdown restarts from the new time. Anyone who tries to join more than 48 hours after the scheduled start will not be able to connect.
:::

Your changes take effect immediately. The meeting link itself does not change, so any links you have already shared remain valid.

## After you save

:::caution
Editing a scheduled meeting does not automatically notify the people you invited. If you moved the time, attendees will still see the original time until you tell them. Resend the invitation email or share the updated meeting details so everyone has the latest time and information.
