Integrate Cloud Voice with Hikvision Intercom Video Devices

Registering Hikvision intercom video devices with Cloud Voice lets you build a complete door-entry system on top of your phone system. Visitors can reach residents or staff over video, calls that go unanswered follow you to the Cloud Voice App, and door access can be granted from any Cloud Voice endpoint. This page introduces the solution and links to each configuration step.

This solution has been validated with Hikvision devices that support SIP (Session Initiation Protocol, the signaling standard phones use to set up voice and video calls). The Hikvision devices register with Cloud Voice as SIP extensions, the same way a desk phone does.

The integration covers the following Hikvision device families and models.

DeviceProduct model
Door stationDS-KD8003-IME1 (VIS_OUTDOOR_H11_EN_STD_V2.2.45_210430)
Villa door stationDS-KV8113-WME1(B), DS-KV8213-WME1(B), DS-KV8413-WME1(B) (VIS_VILLA_H11_EN_STD_V2.2.45_210430)
Indoor stationDS-KH6320-WTE1, DS-KH6320-TE1 (VIS_INDOOR_R0_EN_STD_V2.1.20_build210420)

Once the Hikvision devices are registered as Cloud Voice extensions, you gain the following capabilities.

  • Live video with visitors. Beyond two-way audio, the door station places video calls to an indoor station, the Cloud Voice App, or a video IP phone, so you can see who is at the entrance.
  • No missed visitor calls. With call forwarding turned on, any visitor call that isn’t picked up rolls over automatically to the Cloud Voice App, so a caller at the door is never lost.
  • Answer and unlock from anywhere. Door access isn’t limited to the indoor station. You can take the visitor’s call and release the door from any Cloud Voice endpoint, including the Cloud Voice App and IP phones.

The procedures in this guide were written against the setup below. Your firmware versions and addresses will differ.

Work through the following topics in order to bring the Hikvision devices online with Cloud Voice.

  1. Manage Hikvision devices on the iVMS-4200 client, use Hikvision’s device management software to configure the door and indoor stations from one place.
  2. Register a Hikvision door station to Cloud Voice, add the DS-KD8003 door station as a Cloud Voice extension.
  3. Register a Hikvision indoor station to Cloud Voice, add the DS-KH6320 indoor station as a Cloud Voice extension.
  4. Set up communication between the door station and indoor station, link the Hikvision devices so they operate as an intercom system through Cloud Voice.
  5. Forward door station calls to the Cloud Voice App, set call forwarding so visitor calls reach you on any Cloud Voice App client, wherever you are.
