Odoo CRM Integration Overview
Cloud Voice integrates with Odoo CRM (Customer Relationship Management) so your sales and support teams can work calls without leaving their CRM. Call details flow straight into Odoo records, while all voice traffic continues to run on Cloud Voice. This page covers what you need before you begin, what the integration can do, and the terms used throughout the setup instructions.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”Before you set up the integration, confirm that both sides meet these minimums.

- Hosting type: Odoo Online
- Edition: Odoo Enterprise
- Version: Odoo 14.0 or later
Cloud Voice
- Firmware: version 84.23.0.83 or later
What you can do
Section titled “What you can do”Once connected, the integration adds the following capabilities.
Click to Call
Place a call with one click on any phone number that Odoo detects in a CRM record, dialed through the Cloud Voice App (Web).
Call Popup
When a signed-in user (on the Cloud Voice App for Web or Desktop) answers or receives an inbound call from a known CRM contact, or wraps up a call with one, the contact’s Odoo profile opens automatically in the browser. During a call with a CRM contact, users can also open that profile on demand from the call window.
Contact Synchronization
CRM contacts are copied into the linked phone system phonebook whenever an associated extension takes an inbound call from, or dials an outbound call to, an Odoo CRM contact.
Contact Creation
For calls involving numbers Odoo doesn’t recognize, inbound or outbound, a new contact or lead can be created in Odoo CRM automatically.
Call & Chat Journal
Call activity is logged to Odoo automatically whenever a user tied to an extension finishes a call with a CRM contact. Chat is captured the same way: when a user handles an external chat session and the other party’s number matches a CRM contact exactly, the full chat history syncs to the CRM once the session closes, whether the user or the system ends it.

| Odoo Administrator | The administrator account that created the database in which Odoo CRM is installed. |
| PBX Extension | An extension number on the phone system (the PBX, or Private Branch Exchange) assigned to internal staff. Staff can register the extension on a desk phone or in the Cloud Voice App and use it to place and receive calls. |
| Odoo Lead | A potential customer or unqualified sales opportunity stored in your database. A lead is a stage that comes before an opportunity, giving salespeople something to follow up on and eventually convert into a new opportunity. |
| Odoo Individual | A contact type in your database. In the context of the CRM integration, individuals are external contacts. |
| Odoo Company | A contact type in your database. In the context of the CRM integration, companies are external contacts. |
