Set up Lead or Contact Creation for Odoo CRM
With Cloud Voice connected to Odoo CRM (Customer Relationship Management, the system that stores your leads and contacts), you can capture unrecognized callers as Odoo records so no prospect slips past your team. New leads or contacts can be generated automatically for qualifying calls, or extension users can add them by hand during a call. Either way, your CRM database keeps growing as your team places and answers calls.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”Cloud Voice must already be integrated with Odoo CRM.
Configure record creation
Section titled “Configure record creation”-
Sign in to the PBX (Private Branch Exchange, your phone system) web portal and open Integrations > CRM.

On the CRM integration page, enable Create New Contact.

From the Create Contact or Lead drop-down, choose which kind of Odoo record to generate.

- Individual: save the unknown number as an Individual (contact).
- Leads: save the unknown number as a Lead.

Under Create Method, decide how records are added.
- To let Cloud Voice build records on its own for specific calls:

Select Automatically.

Use the Call Type drop-down to choose which calls trigger a new record.

- Inbound: an incoming call from a number that matches no existing Lead, Individual, or Company in the CRM.
- Outbound: an outgoing call to a number that matches no existing Lead, Individual, or Company in the CRM.

- To let the associated extension users create records themselves while on a call, select Manually.
- To let Cloud Voice build records on its own for specific calls:

Click Save.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”In automatic mode, whenever an associated extension dials or answers an unknown number, Odoo CRM records a fresh contact or lead.
