π Overview of Business Hours and Holidays
This topic describes different types of time defined in the IZT Cloud Voice. The examples below help you define various business hours and holidays.
Business hours
Business hours are the working hours during which you conduct business. A rest break that allows an employee to rest for a short period of time during a shift is also classified as Business Hours.
IZT Cloud Voice allows you to set main business hours for your company and also supports custom business hours for designated users.
Global Business Hours
Global Business Hours is the main business hours for your company. Global Business Hours apply to every employee who does not have fixed work schedules.
You can create Global Business Hours for departments and users. For more information, see Configure Global Business Hours.
Custom Business Hours
Custom Business Hours are set for departments with different work hours from the main business hours. You need to create custom schedules that accommodate each departmentβs requirements and link those schedules to those departments.

Custom Time Periods
Custom Time Periods specify individual employee who have their own work schedules.

Outside Business Hours
Outside Business Hours is the time when everyone has completed their shift for the day and gone home. Calls received outside business hours are defined as Outside Business Hours.
Holidays
Holidays define the days your business is closed due to a holiday. Holidays can be divided into two types:
Fixed-date holiday
A fixed-date holiday is an annual holiday on a fixed date every year, for example, New Year's Day.
Flexible-date holiday
A flexible-date holiday is a holiday that changes depending on the week, month, and day. For example, a cafΓ© might be closed every Monday, or a week around Christmas each year for a winter holiday.
Outside Business Hours
Outside Business Hours is the time periods that are not defined as Business Hours or Holidays.
