Manage Outbound Routes

After you create outbound routes, you can adjust the priority of the outbound routes. You can also edit or delete the outbound routes.

Adjust Priority of Outbound Routes

When a user places a call, if the dialed number matches multiple dial patterns, the outbound route with the highest priority will be used. You can adjust the priority of outbound routes to ensure calls go through the proper outbound routes.

Note: The route priority is important, especially if there is some overlap. For example, the number 555301235 matches both dial patterns of 5553XXX and XXX. The PBX will send the call through the outbound route with higher priority.

Example

A company has set up two outbound routes to match the number 555301235:

  • Outbound Route Long-distance that has the dial pattern 5553XXX and a route cost of 10.
  • Outbound Route Local that has the dial pattern 5XXX and a route cost of 20.

To call 555301230 through Local, you can adjust the outbound route Long-distance on IZT Cloud PBX with the outbound route Local call cost of 10.

  1. In the IZT Cloud web portal, go to Call Control > Outbound Route.
