βοΈ Allow Callers to Dial Extension from Voicemail
This topic describes how to allow callers to dial extensions from voicemail.
Background Information
For the employees working in multiple places, they can record a greeting to prompt the caller to dial another extension for assistance. Instead of hanging up and calling again, you allow the caller to directly dial to the extensions directly from voicemail.
Procedure
- Log in to PBX web portal, go to Call Features > Voicemail.
- In the Caller Options section, select the checkbox of Allow callers to dial the extension from voicemail.
- Use the provided Extensions box, move the corresponding provided listed entries from Available to Selected box.
- Click Save.
Result
The caller can press *
key to dial an extension.
If a custom greeting is used for voicemail, update the greeting to instruct callers to press *
key for dialing an extension.
