IZT Cloud Voice Contacts feature allows users to store external contacts outside of your company on PBX, access, and call those contacts on endpoints (IP phone and IZT Cloud Voice clients) where their extensions are registered. This topic describes terminologies, requirements, key features, and limits of IZT Cloud Voice Contacts feature.

Terminologies

Before using IZT Cloud Voice Contacts feature, familiarize yourself with the following terminologies:

Personal Contacts

Personal Contacts is exclusive to each extension user, which allows users to store several personal contacts, such as direct contacts.

✨Note: Each user’s Personal Contacts is only visible to themselves.

Company Contacts

Company Contacts are shared among authorized users, which allows authorized users to store several company-shared contacts, such as company’s customers, resellers, and partners.

Phonebooks

Phonebooks is a value-added service for Company Contacts, which allows authorized users to group company contacts into phonebooks and implement robust control over access to each phonebook.

Key features

  • Group company contacts into phonebooks: Group company contacts into organized phonebooks and access them securely with robust permission control.
  • Sync contacts across IZT Cloud Voice clients: Sync contacts across IZT Cloud Voice Web Client, Desktop Client, and Mobile Client, and allow you to make changes on either client.
  • Sync contacts from integrated CRMs: Sync contacts from Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems that are integrated with IZT Cloud Voice.
  • Identify incoming calls: When receiving an incoming call from a personal contact or a company contact, the caller's phone screen will display the contact name. By knowing who is calling, users can handle calls efficiently.
