Set up a Route for PSAP Callbacks
To ensure that the emergency caller is available to answer the return call from PSAP, you can set up an inbound route to forward the call to an on-site security personnel.
Procedure
- Log in to PBX web portal, go to Call Control > Inbound Route.
- Click Add to add an inbound route for PSAP callbacks.
- Set the Caller ID Pattern section, add all the emergency numbers that you have set on the PBX.
Note: Customize the Route ID, Route Name, and Description to help you identify the route.
- In the Pattern field, enter the emergency number:
- Optional: To add another pattern, click Add.
- In the Rules section, select the trunk that is used for emergency calls to forward the calls to the security personnel.
Note: Enter the appropriate patterns, set the rules for the emergency calls to be forwarded to the security personnel via PSAP.
Result
When a PSAP operator calls back, the call will be forwarded to the extension user that is configured on the inbound route.
