Extension Security Overview
This topic describes security options to prevent unauthorized SIP registrations and abuse of outbound calls.
SIP Security Options
Available Security Options:
Restrict Outbound Calls for an Extension:Disable outgoing calls for specific extensions.
Restrict Extension Registration Based on User Agent:Specify which user agents are allowed to register an extension.
Restrict Extension Registration Based on IP Address:Allow registration only from specific IP addresses.
By default, SIP registrations are allowed from any IP address unless specified otherwise.
🔍 Note: Some settings may require the installation of a specific user agent for extensions to register successfully.
Call Restrictions Options
Disable Outbound Calls

Log in to the IZT Cloud Admin Dashboard.

Navigate to the Extension Settings.

Select the extension you wish to restrict.

Enable the Disable Outbound Calls option.
Block Outbound Calls Outside Business Hours

Go to the Dialing Restrictions settings.

Enable the Block Calls Outside Business Hours option.

Specify the allowed calling times.
Limit Call Duration of an Outbound Call

Access the Call Duration Limit settings.
2
Set the maximum duration allowed for outbound calls.
3
Save your changes.
Outbound Route Permission
Outbound routes define when an extension is allowed to use:

Go to Outbound Route Settings.
2
Specify which extensions can access different outbound routes.
3
Save the configuration.
