Set up an Outbound Route
To allow users to make outbound calls through trunks, you need to set up at least one outbound route in IZT Cloud Voice.
Background Information
IZT Cloud Voice allows you to define rules for configuring outbound calls, which can be updated or deleted based on your requirements.
Prerequisites
Ensure that you have set up at least one trunk for outbound calls.
Procedure
Procedure to Set up an Outbound Route:
- Log in to IZT Cloud Voice web portal, go to Call Control > Outbound Route. Click Add.
- In the General section, configure the following settings:
- Outbound Route Name: Enter a name to help you identify it.
- Member Extensions: Select extensions that are allowed to make outbound calls through the route.
- Dial Pattern: Specifies the dialed numbers and patterns the system should match to use the outbound route.
Note: Configure the setting when the trunk provider supports Caller ID override.
- Set the Dial Patterns:
- Define patterns and numbers that, if dialed, will match the outbound route you are setting up.
- Under the Trunk Sequence section, configure:
- Add Trunk: Add trunks to be used by the outbound route. Rearrange the order of trunks as needed using drag-and-drop.
- Optionally, configure the Outbound Route Password:
- Single PIN Code: Enter a PIN code or select an existing PIN code created by the administrator. For more information, see add a PIN code.
- To define user access based on specific times:
- In the Time Condition section, configure the following settings:
- Selected Extensions: Choose extensions, extension groups, external contacts, and organization roles to be allowed for the outbound route.
- Available Time: Specify the specific time conditions that apply.
What to do next: After you finish the outbound calls configuration, you need to check and adjust the priority of your outbound routes so that the system can match the dialed number with the proper route.
For more information, see Adjust priority of outbound routes.
