πŸ“‹ Call Transfer Overview

Call transfer is a feature that allows users to transfer current calls from their phones to another phone number or extension. This topic describes call transfer types and call transfer options.

Call Transfer Types

There are two scenarios to transfer a call:

  • Attended Transfer: This allows the user to answer the call, consult with the transfer recipient, and then complete the transfer. It involves speaking to the person you are transferring the call to before the transfer is made.
  • Blind Transfer: This allows the user to transfer a call to another recipient immediately without consulting the transfer recipient.

Call Transfer Options

The following options are available to set up your call transfer:

  • Feature Code: Feature code used to initiate the call transfer.

    • Attended Transfer: The default code is *3.
    • Blind Transfer: The default code is *103.
  • Digit Timeout(s): Time interval allowed to enter the transfer recipient's number after the feature code.

  • Rebound Missed Transferred Calls: When the transfer recipient does not answer, the call is routed back to the original user.

Ensure you configure and validate all necessary options for effective call transfer management.
