Set Up Extension Voicemail

This topic introduces the voicemail feature and describes how to set up voicemail for an extension.

Background Information

IZT Cloud Voice supports voicemail feature, which helps users receive audio messages when they are unavailable to answer calls.

To enable voicemail, you must first set up the following settings according to your needs:

Enable Voicemail
Voicemail PIN
Play Options of voicemails
Email Notifications

Procedure

Log in to the PBX web portal, go to Extension and Trunk > Extension, click to edit the desired extension.

In the Voicemail tab, click to enable Voicemail.

In the Voicemail PIN field, enter your designated PIN.

In the New Voicemail Notification drop-down box, decide whether a PIN is required when the user receives new voicemail.

Enabled: This user needs to enter a PIN to access his or her voicemail messages.

Set Send Email Notifications with Attachment to send notification emails only.

Set Send Email Notifications without Attachment to send notification emails only.

After Notification: Decide how to deal with voicemails after notification emails are sent:
  • β€’ Mark as Read: Mark the voicemail message in mailbox as read.
  • β€’ Delete Voicemail: Delete the voicemail messages from the mailbox.
  • β€’ Do Nothing: Keep the voicemail message as it is.

Optionally, set either of the following settings when playing a voicemail:
  • β€’ Play and Stop
  • β€’ Play Caller ID
  • β€’ Set Maximum Duration

Click Save and Apply.
