This topic describes how to park a call to a specific parking number, and retrieve the parked call.
Background Information
For sales or support, it probably doesnβt matter exactly who picks up the call. You can allocate different parking numbers to different departments. For example, 6099 for sales, 6098 for support, and so on.
The default range of parking numbers is 6000 to 6059. The random call parking occupies parking numbers from 6000 to 6039 whereas the directed call parking is managed through numbers 6040 to 6059.
Prerequisites
Ensure the parking number is specified and ensure the parked call configuration as needed.
Procedure
- Parking number 6099 is assigned to salesmen. The receptionist receives a call, and the customer wants to consult business information.
- The receptionist dials

to park the call to parking number 6099. - Notify the relevant department's sales agent:
- The sales agent dials

to retrieve the call from the parking number 6099.
Tip: If users are in different departments, set parking valid extension by valid settings options.
