Configure DID Numbers on a Trunk

This topic describes when and how to configure DID numbers on a trunk.

Background Information

DID numbers are usually configured on inbound routes to distinguish inbound calls.

Trunk Type and Example

Depending on the type of trunk, follow the steps below to configure DID numbers on a trunk:

  • For SIP Register Trunk: For a SIP Register Trunk, IZT Cloud Voice provides DID numbers that are different from SIP authentication name. You need to add the provided DID numbers and configure them according to the instructions from your trunk provider.

  • For PSTN Trunk: At times, the trunk provider may provide only one number as the DID number. Thus, you must add that number as a DID name.

DID numbers allow the distinction of incoming calls based on the number dialed.
