πŸ”„ Allow Users to Switch Call Recording Status

By default, if you set up call recording for extensions, trunks, conferences, or queues, the specified calls will be recorded as soon as they connect, and the calls will NOT be recorded when disconnected. To enable the user to start, pause, or resume call recording on their own, you need to configure this setting.

Restrictions

  • Extensions cannot switch the recording status during a conference call unless you have granted them permission.

Procedure

  1. Log in to PBX web portal, go to Extension and Trunk > Extensions, edit the desired extension.
  2. In the Call Recording section, grant the permission to switch call recording status.

  1. Save and Apply.

Result

The user can switch call recording status in the following ways:

  • Using IP phone.
  • Using the provided options in IZT Cloud Voice Clients.
