πŸ“© Leave a Voicemail Message without Calling the User

This topic describes how to send a voicemail message without ringing extensions.

Background Information

Although you can send a message by email or text sometimes, there is no replacement for the emotion, inflection, and sincerity of your voice. Leaving voicemail for important updates ensures that your team or partners hear from you directly, enhancing the value of communication. In many instances, quick voicemail messages are better than impersonal written messages.

With IZT Cloud Voice, you can leave voicemail messages before a busy meeting or work break. This topic covers practical steps required for forwarding voicemail messages without calling the user, allowing your team or partners to reflect and promptly respond.

Prerequisites

This feature is only for internal extension users.

Procedure

  1. To leave a voicemail message to a specific extension, use the feature code *694 followed by the extension number (for example, *6941001).
  2. To leave a voicemail message to a group voicemail, use *694 followed by the group voicemail number (for example, *6942001).

The default feature code for sending voicemail messages is *694. You can change, enable, or disable the code on PBX web portal: Call Features > Feature Code > Voicemail > Leave a Voicemail for Extension/Group Voicemail.
